Welcome to TactiFit (the “App” or “Service”), an AI-driven application developed by TactiFit, LLC (“TactiFit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the App.

The App is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: First name, last name, email address, password, and authentication credentials
  • Profile Information: Height, weight, body fat percentage, activity level, dietary preferences, health goals, wellness indicators (inflammation, bloating, stress, energy levels), and other biometric and health-related data
  • Nutritional Data: Food logs, water intake logs, meal plans, pantry items, shopping lists, calorie and macro targets, and nutritional preferences
  • User Content: Photos of food, progress photos, chat messages with AI assistants, calendar events, and any other content you create or upload
  • Voice Data: Audio recordings when you use voice input features (processed for speech-to-text conversion)
  • Communications: Feedback, support requests, and any other communications you send to us

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, and app version
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the App, features used, time spent, and navigation patterns
  • Location Data: If you grant permission, we collect precise location information including GPS coordinates
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, error logs, and technical diagnostic information
  • AI Interaction Data: Chat messages, queries sent to AI services, AI responses, and patterns of AI feature usage
  • Analytics Data: App events, user actions, feature usage, and performance metrics collected through Firebase Analytics

2.3 Third-Party Information

  • Subscription Information: Subscription status, purchase history from Apple App Store and Google Play Store
  • Authentication: Account information from Apple Sign-In (if you choose to use it)
  • Analytics Events: Registration and engagement events transmitted to Meta Platforms, Inc. (see §4.1)

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 Service Delivery

Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its AI-powered features including meal planning, nutritional analysis, and personalized recommendations. Process transactions and manage subscriptions.

3.2 AI Processing and Services

Process your chat messages, food logs, and profile information through third-party AI services (including OpenAI) to generate personalized responses, recommendations, and analyses.

3.3 Analytics and Improvement

Track app usage and feature adoption through Firebase Analytics. Monitor app performance and optimize functionality.

3.4 Communication

Send service-related notifications and administrative messages. We will send marketing communications only with your separate, explicit consent — not bundled with acceptance of these terms. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or through the Marketing Communications toggle in the App’s Settings screen.

3.5 Legal and Safety

Comply with legal obligations, detect and prevent fraud, and protect the rights and safety of TactiFit, our users, and others.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

We share information with the following third-party service providers:

Firebase (Google)

Authentication, Firestore database, Storage, Analytics, Remote Config, Cloud Functions, and Messaging.

Registration completion and key engagement events are transmitted to Meta via the Meta SDK for attribution and analytics purposes.

Subscription and payment information is processed through Apple and Google payment systems.

Speech-to-Text Services

Voice recordings are processed through speech-to-text APIs (including Whisper API) to convert voice input to text.

4.2 Business Transfers

If TactiFit is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TactiFit, our users, or others.

4.4 With Your Consent

We may share your information with third parties when you explicitly consent to such sharing.

5. Data Storage

  • Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud): All structured data including user profile, food logs, water logs, meal plans, chat messages, calendar events, shopping lists, and settings
  • Firebase Storage (Google Cloud): All files including progress photos, uploaded images, and AI context files
  • Local Device Storage: Some data is cached locally on your device for offline access, including chat history and app preferences
  • Third-Party AI Services: When you use AI features, your messages and relevant data are temporarily sent to OpenAI’s servers. OpenAI may retain this data per their privacy policy
  • Data may be stored on servers in the United States or other countries. By using the App, you consent to the storage and processing of your data in these locations

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest (Firebase encryption)
  • Secure authentication through Firebase Authentication
  • Access controls and user-based data isolation
  • Secure API key management

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

When you delete your account, we delete: your user profile, food logs, water logs, meal plans, chat messages, progress photos, calendar events, shopping lists, and location data. Some information may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form for analytics.

8. Your Rights and Choices

8.1 Access and Correction — Update your account information through App Settings, or request a copy of your personal data.

8.2 Deletion — Delete your account and all associated data directly through Settings → Account Deletion. Deletion is permanent.

8.3 Data Portability — Request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

8.4 Marketing Opt-Out — Unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or via the Marketing Communications toggle in App Settings. We honor opt-out requests within 10 business days.

8.5 Location Data — Control location data collection through your device settings at any time.

8.6 Do Not Track — The App does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at tactifitglobal@gmail.com. We will delete any such information promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure adequate protection during such transfers.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

  • Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
  • Right to delete personal information (subject to exceptions)
  • Right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

15. AI and Machine Learning

Our App uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide personalized nutrition recommendations, meal planning, and dietary analysis. This involves:

  • Processing Your Data: We send your chat messages, food logs, nutritional data, and profile information to OpenAI’s API and other AI service providers to generate personalized responses and analyses
  • AI Context and History: We store your chat history and AI interaction context to provide continuity in conversations. This data is stored in Firebase and may be sent to AI services in subsequent interactions
  • AI Output Accuracy: AI-generated outputs are for informational purposes only and should not replace professional medical or nutritional advice. You use such outputs at your own discretion and risk
  • Third-Party AI Policies: AI service providers (such as OpenAI) may use data sent to their APIs according to their own policies, including potential use for model improvement
